Mexico's population
The population of Mexico is rapidly growing, as of July 2012 the population stands at approximately 114,975,406.
Ethnic Groups
In the city of Mexico there are many different types of Ethnic groups, these include: mestizo (Amerindian-Spanish) 60%, Amerindian 30%, white 9% and other 1%. This represents that the largest Ethnic groups in Mexico as well as the smallest.
Relgions
There are also many different types of Religions in Mexico the most popular being Roman Catholic with 82.7% of the population, which is then followed by Protestant 1.6%, Jehovah's Witnesses 1.4%, other Evangelical Churches 5%, other 1.9%, none 4.7% and unspecified 2.7%.
Languages
Along with these, Mexico is made up of many different races, who all speak different Languages. All together there are over 60 indigenous languages in Mexico but there are only very few people who are non-Spanish speaking. Spanish only, makes up 92.7% of the population making it a majority. On a much smaller scale Spanish and indigenous languages make up 5.7%, indigenous only make up 0.8% and unspecified make up a small 0.8%.
Infant Mortality Rate
The infant mortality rate in total is 16.77 deaths to every 1,000 live births. For the population of males there are 18.58 deaths to every 1,000 live births and for females there are 14.86 deaths to every 1000 live births.
Life Expectancy
The Life expectancy for the total Mexican population is 76.66 years. The female and male population is separated by a few years with females living longer. The average age for a female in Mexico is 79.63 years where the average age for males is only 73.84. This represents that females have a longer life expectancy than males in Mexico.
